With increasing anxiety over our current economic situation, there's growing interest in both economics as a general topic, and participatory economics as an alternative economics vision. Members of CAPES (The Chicago Area Participatory Economics Society) have been responding to this increased interest with our recent presentations (linked above), and we want to continue this momentum. Thus, we're organizing the first CAPES Economics Salon, and we cordially invite you to attend.
-
What's an Economics Salon? It's a discussion space to consider participatory economics and matters related to participatory economics in a friendly non-pressured environment. Anyone attending can learn, explore and share ideas, ask questions, discuss concerns, brainstorm, and generally follow wherever one's thoughts may lead.
-
The first CAPES Economics Salon will be held on Wednesday, July 8, starting at 7pm, at the Mercury Cafe (1505 W. Chicago). Feel free to spread the word and bring friends.
